WLuz grew out of Weberluz, founded in 2002 by Beto Luz at the Port of Itajaí. Today, more than twenty years of port operations support our foreign trade and commodity business.
We are known for speed, reliability and commitment to our clients, from storage to final delivery.
Where we come from: since 2002, every step of our business has been built with the same commitment we keep today, from the first ships to the full operation we offer now.
In 1995, Beto Luz joined the Port of Itajaí as a reserve cargo checker, after passing the Port Authority exam. The early years were all about loading and unloading ships: steel coils, a lot of timber, general cargo. Between 1997 and 2000 the world moved to containers, and with them came importers who needed more than a ship operated. They needed logistics outside the port gates, at the dry port.
That is where the idea was born. In 2002, José Alberto Luz, known as Beto Luz, founded Weberluz to do exactly that: receive the cargo and the container, unstuff it, transfer it to trucks, deliver it to the cargo owner after clearance and return the empty container to the terminal. Over the years partners came and went, until in 2024 the company was reorganized as WLuz, owned today by José Alberto Luz, Felipe Alberto Weber Luz and Matheus Alberto Werner Luz.
"We started at the very beginning. That trust is what we still carry today."
